Light & Refreshing Slush

Food Storage Spotlight:
This is a great drink for Holiday dinners—it looks pretty in a punch bowl and is always a crowd pleaser.
Light & Refreshing Slush
1 ½ C sugar
1 C water
2 T lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
Pinch of salt
3 C cold water
2 C pineapple juice
Sprite/ fruit
Boil the sugar and 1 C water together for 3 minutes.  Add the next four ingredients, stir,  and freeze either in Ziploc freezer bags or sturdy plastic bowls.  Remove from freezer 1 to 2 hours before serving.  Break the frozen slush into large chunks, and place in punch bowl.  Pour 2 or 3 2-liters of Sprite over, and add some orange slices, cranberries, and/or berries for flavor & color.  Makes about 10 servings.
