I like the ‘light & refreshing’ taste of this punch. You can dress up the finished punch with a handful of berries or slices of lemons, limes, or oranges.
Juice of 3 or 4 lemons/limes/oranges
1 C sugar
Place juice and sugar in a 2qt. pitcher. Add a little hot water and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add enough ice and cold water to make 2qts. Serve. Try ½ lemon juice and ½ orange juice, or just straight lemon or lime juice. If you don’t have a juicer, just use a fork—slice fruit in half and twist juice out with the fork.
*Sugar is one food storage item that I don’t think you could buy too much of. It stores indefinitely and will probably only go up in cost—think of it as an investment! I use to pour all of my sugar into plastic buckets to store but now I just keep it in the heavy paper bags it comes in—much easier & stores fine(except in a floodJ). Remember, all food storage should be placed in a cool, dark, and dry location away from rodents and preferably off the floor.
